Eat, eat, eat...(without my personal dietician controlling me, you know who you are!)
Shop, shop, shop...
Pamper myself with my other favourite girly therapy...
This particular chinese musical instrument, called the Er Hu, reminds me of a very funny story that my dad once told me. When my dad was still a kid, he told his dad, which is also my grandpa, that he wanted to learn how to play the guitar and begged my grandpa to get him a guitar. At that time, my grandpa agreed and brought home a guitar one day to surprise my dad. My dad was obviously extremely happy when he saw the gift. However, when he opened the music case, inside was an Er Hu instead of a guitar! Hilarious isn't it? My traditional grandpa's mindset of a guitar is actually the Er Hu.
Actually, I really enjoy Chinese New Year very much. Other than the food and shopping, it's a great opportunity to gather with family members and to catch up with one another. I personally find it very important spending time with my family. Although we may not be celebrating or having a reunion dinner or receiving ang paos or whatever, we still choose to stay at home during the new year and enjoy each other's company. With that said, I really miss my all time best friend - my sister - who is currently serving her time at the National Service camp. I can't wait for her to be home this holiday, so that we can go shopping, talk, do girly stuff together, "bergossip-gossip"...etc. Haha.
Happy Chinese New Year everybody! Gong xi Gong xi...
