Merdeka!

It's exactly 5.36am now. I went to bed really early last night, hence the superb early wake-up-nothing-better-to-do post. Hehe...

I was home alone last night. Smelly and I went on a shopping spree at Hartamas in the evening (boy that girl has turned into a shopaholic!!! not even willing to leave the boutiques until she has glanced through each and every piece of clothing!?) When we got home, which was a lil' later than expected thanks to the shopaholic, that sis of mine immediately had to get ready for Desmond's birthday dinner which was at Frontera, Jaya One. I decided to not go because I thought the food there was gonna cost me a bomb, given that all my money has gone to my new hair, clothes and treasure chest in which i've been saving up some money for a new phone. *beams*
Smelly if you're reading this, PUH-LEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY TREASURE CHEST!

And after some time, I texted Smelly to ask her about the food while I was happily alone at home enjoying my panna cotta for dinner and watching Step Up. Then the unexpected reply came - "They serve mexican food here. And it's really cheap! It's like Chillis but cheaper. Ranges from 10 over to 30/40bucks. I'm having a burger for 16bucks, we should try here next time" *smacks own head real HARD*

Danggg...things haven't been going my way recently. It's as if the stars are not aligned.

For ONE, the silliest match i've ever watched last night - ManUtd v Arsenal.
I want to smack Diaby. All my favourite player's effort had to be put to waste! My poor Arshavin...for one moment in the first half, I got my hopes sky high.

TWO,
was hoping to get my pay cheque last week but the HR department just had to move to another floor so they couldn't issue me my pay. Of all the days?? Now I have to punch a couple of new holes in my belt so that I can wrap my stomach tighter.

THREE,
I can't think of anything else anymore. But I do know that I am seriously deprived of good food. Care to take me anybody? =)

have i ever mentioned that the sweet tooth gene runs in my family?

panna cotta - my dad and i heart this dessert so much we had more than 10 of these the last time we went out for a buffet.

I am trying to enjoy my long weekend before it's back to my dead job. However, time is flying by too fast. I can hardly put my finger on any second of it.

good morning Malaysia!

I'm at work now. It's boringgg...

I went on the weighing scale this morning. I was shocked to see that i've lost weight again, even when i've been eating quite a bit for the past few days. I came off the scale and went back on. 44kg. I looked into the mirror to see my collar bones are showing and it's hideous. I gotta start eating more protein and work out. I need to build more muscles. Care to join me, anybody?

Oh, btw I missed out on writing about one very important event that took place during the weekend. I was invited to attend my indian friend, Priyanka's Arangetram. If you don't know indian (as if I know), it's actually the graduation of a dancer. The huge event was also to make it a point that she has reached a certain level of maturity spiritually. It was quite interesting. 2 hours of solo traditional indian dance by Priyanka which all told of different stories. Of which ended with an indian dinner. I was told the food was bad, but I couldn't tell. The cold and sore throat prolly numbed my tastebud. Photos up soon. Hehe.

Back to my dead boring jobbb =( My colleague resigned last Friday, so all the work has come back to me. Gotta go peeps.

HaoWei will be leaving for Toronto this evening and won't be coming back for the next couple of years. We were placed in the same class every year since Primary 1. Am gonna miss that shy yet manipulative boy much=(

summer hair and friends =)

A couple of you may already know...

I HAVE CURLYYY HAIRRR NOW!

Got it done with Bestie Pui Mun on Saturday. However, received more bad comments than good ones =((

But on the brighter side, i'm part of High School Musical now.

My hair is currently the Gabriella Montez. too bad I don't date Troy Bolton

Anyways I had a great weekend.

The highlight of this week would be meeting up with my primary school friends that are back from overseas for the Summer break. Unlike any other bunch, we were really really really close back in our primary school days, all of us, as we spent at least 3 years together in the same class. Some of which since Primary 1 even, which makes it 6 years. We did almost everything together way back then - played sports, studied, gossiped (bad bad but we were young then), had outings, bullied each other and never ending punishments. Haha.

It was really like a High School Musical, in a way. Everything was pretty much "We're All In This Together".

We had a nice dinner on Friday night which was followed by an extremely exciting yam-cha session consisting of tonnes of stories, rumors, memories and laughter. Till 3am. And we could have gone on having no sense of time if only we weren't so tired. 6 of us decided to meet up again today because we didn't have enough of each other on Friday, also because Hao Wei will be leaving for Canada tomorrow and may not be coming back for the next couple of years. So, we karaoke-ed!

of laughter - KhoonHuang & SheeYan

of insanity - HaoWei & Britney Spears' I'm A Slave For You

of reuniting and reminiscing good old times

It's amazing how an 8 years gap couldn't change the chemistry between us at all. Not even a single moment of awkwardness.

ty xinjiat =))

I'm blogging from the working table, again.

Nevermind the people who don't appreciate me at work, atleast I know ONE of the readers of this blog that appreciates my time and effort. And that is you! Xinjiattt!

thank you soo much! I'm honoured =) I shall look for an award that is suitable for you one day.
but I still don't get why you highlighted my name in PINK on your blog, haha...

quando?

Can't wait for my hair to look like this...

if and only it turns out to be like this =)

getting better

I just got home from run. I'm so proud of myself =) After a whole day of work, I managed to break my own record and hit pass the 6km mark today within about 40 minutes without pausing. Kenneth ran with me today. It was really nice of him keeping me accompanied even though he was hungry and tired. If you're reading this, Kenneth oh Kenneth, please know that I really appreciate the effort!

Anyways the movie "UP" will be screening tomorrow. BUTTTT...i've already watched it on Saturday!!! Muahahaha... So I managed to get free passes to the preview on that day itself from Tropicana City when the Hitz FM crew were there playing a couple of games and trying to lift Ean up into the air with huge helium filled balloons. It was actually a really nice, and not to forget, heartfelt movie. Somebody actually cried watching it, not gonna mention any names here *ahem*. Worth a watch at the theatre! =)

Oh, and the fat chinese looking boy is sooo cuteeee =DDD Like what Jenna said - he has no nostrils and he is soo fwatttt...lol

So the HR department called me today to tell me that they won't be paying me any more than i'm already getting. I don't think i've mentioned the story before. I'm currently being underpaid, as in, I haven't been getting the pay that I was told i'll be getting during my interview. In addition to that, my boss told me last week that she thinks i'm being overpaid. Because apparently, i'm not a very productive worker. Hmmggggffhhh...

I hope my boss who sits in her office all day will miss me after i'm gone, especially when she has to go through all these papers one by one and getting them done by lunch time every single day. Oh, and she better not miss out the boxes in front of the desk and the stack of paper work on top of it too, they're crucial stuff. =P

Off to bed I go now. Another mountain pile of work awaits to greet me good early morning tomorrow...

am annoyed, buttt

Every now and then, I log in to my Facebook account to see one or two new messages in my inbox. I like receiving messages. However, I simply cannot CANNOT cannot tolerate guys that send me all these normal wanna-get-to-know-you or wanna-get-closer-to-you, or whatever I don't know how to describe messages. That's not the problem. They're not just any guy! These are guys who are already attached to other people. In other words, these guys already have girlfriends.

LIKE SERIOUSLY. If I could smack you hard, i'd do so immedietely. What is the matter with you! Your butt cheeks are too itchy huh?

If I find my boyfriend going around flirting with other girls and calling them by names, he can kiss his sweet butt goodbye.

"My dear, my dear, my dear" Like seriously, these names just turn me off. If you have a problem with your girlfriend, like, if she's not giving you enough attention or she doesn't allow you addressing her with names, or whatever and you're feeling lacking or unhappy about it, TELL HER. I'm sure she wouldn't like you going around addressing other girls my dear, darling, sweetie bla bla bla...so please just stop it. I've had horrible past experiences that involve my ex-boyfriend therefore I AM very sensitive to these things. I pray to God that you will read this and come to your senses.

Anyways, i'm done with being angry. Some pictures that make me happy...

trying to take a photo of me

if you know chinese, try guessing what this picture means...

Good night now =)

August 16, 2009

curly hair...oh yea, oh no??

So I had another outing with my two besties today. Like usual, we sat from one restaurant to another and couldn't stop talking...if we're gonna be talking non-stop like we already are now at the age of 20, it's actually kinda scary trying to imagine how we'd be like when the three of us finally hit the 50 mark, if we live that long (Win & I will be dealing with plenty of toxic spills in the near future, lol!)- We'll be like any other LOUD & IGNORANT aunty gang sitting in a coffee shop for hours every Sunday morning keeping each other updated about our week. Haha. Anyways, pictures will be up soon, once I find that thang that connects the camera to the computer. Hehe...

Oh, so I was thinking of getting my hair curled, again. Yup. If everything flows smoothly, I will be going to curl my hair with bestie Pui Mun soon =))

However, there's still this tinge of doubt in me. So i'd like to hear some opinions.

Here are some pictures of me with curls from once upon a time...

my sister did this for me - instant medium curls

the first time I had my hair permanently curled

instant big curls that can be washed off

the slightly long, messy kinda curls

I think I like this best, actual proper curls

not too bad either, slightly wavy

no curls, just waves

As you all know, I currently have straight & short hair. So i'm not too sure if curls would be a good idea.

Hmm...so how? To curl? To not? Let me know what you think! =)

August 15, 2009

August 10, 2009

ones that matter

So my usual Saturday routine (given that I don't have anything else planned with people other than my family) would be spending time with my family.

I think i've put up a post on how important it is to spend time with our families. Therefore I shall not go there, even though I am naggy and I very much enjoy lecturing people - thanks to those who don't give me enough attention. *coughs*

Okay! So last Saturday, I managed to spend some time and have dinner with my dad's side of the family. Here are some snippets to do the explaining...

Japanese at Crystal Crown =)))

relatively fresh sashimi

sushi with too much wasabi =S blekkk...dislike wasabi

bbq-ed beef with long beans & chicken wings

ladyfingers, bbq-ed too

Susan a.k.a "Mei Che"'s fry chicken thinggy with egg, extremely tasty =)

we all like miso soup very much

and our all time favourite - endamame! We had two plates of these.

Okay. So that's the food. Now some shots of beautiful siblings, hahaha...from the eldest to the youngest...

the two "tai ka che's" - Melissa (a.k.a Smelly) and Eileen, that is me =)
(fyi, I am the eldest)

the handsome brother - Lucas, not so handsome in this picture

the gorgeous sister - Louisa. People say that she's gonna grow up to look exactly like me,except she has 2 dimples and I only have one.

the handsome brother & the ugleh sista =PPP

the brother and the gameboy
(think he picked up that bad hobby from Smelly, cos' she used to be addicted to gameboys)

Lastly, of course, THE most gorgeous picture of all...

I have to admit that we are beautiful people. Lol =P

I noticed that my brother is looking more and more like David Archuleta as the days go by.

the face of my brother in matter of years, HOPEFULLY, lol!

He even knows how to sing "Touch My Hand" without anyone teaching him - that is how quick he is able to pick up music from whatever sources possible. I am amazed at my brother's perfect vocal pitching and I believe he's gonna be amazing when he grows up. Hehehe...

Till the next family reunion.
