One Little Mistake That Made A Difference

I've stayed in this house, this room, for almost 5 months ever since Uni began. I share the same bathroom with one other girl who stays in the room next to mine. I've had a number of different toilet mates who have moved in and moved out due to the break-ins that have been going on all this while. My current toilet mate has been the most loyal one, she has moved in for almost 3 months now. To your surprise, I don't know her name still. Well, not until yesterday...

I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom before I went out for a run in the evening. While I was happily picking up my toothbrush from the sink area, I accidently swept my hand across the sink and hit my toilet mate's cup. The cup fell into the sink and it kind of chipped. It scared the guts out of me, I didn't know what to do. For one moment I just wanted to put the cup back and pretended nothing happened. I felt guilty at last, so I wrote a note to my toilet mate to apologize and I was willing to pay her back then slipped the note under her room door...

This was pasted on my door when I arrived home after the run...

I finally know her name - Regina :)

Honestly, I didn't really have a good impression of her before this. I tried my best to be friendly and greeted her everytime I bumped into her in Uni. It is probably my height problem, she is extremely tall and hardly notices me even when I walk pass her in the corridor in front of our rooms, which explains why she ignored me the every time I smiled at her.

She started to smile and greet me every time we saw each other ever since yesterday, which is good.

I realize, sometimes it just takes us a little initiative and slight effort to get to know somebody, which just might make a big difference to that somebody.

Random Surprise

As usual, Michelle and myself attended classes like any other normal day.
While we were in one of our classes today, we noticed two different figures we don't usually see around in class when we turned our backs to look behind, and one of it looked like a monkey to me...

Hmm...looks extremely familiar...

And I took a closer look...

SPOTTED : MONKEY - and a cute one too :P

Haha. It came to our surprise that our two boyfriends a.k.a the two Seans had nothing better to do during their break time and sneaked into our classroom to see us, BUT ENDED UP SLEEPING at the back of the classroom. However, it was really sweet of the both of them :)

What a random but lovely surprise. We heart the both of you! *wink wink* You both should really do this more often :P

Bob The Builder, WE MUST BUILD!

In secondary school, it was compulsory for all of us to take a subject called Living Skills, or the more familiar term for the ear would be Kemahiran Hidup. While we were learning this subject, it was a must to complete a number of projects which included sewing, cooking, electronic and the most enjoyable wood work. Wood work - Kerja Kayu was the term we used then.

Last night, Sean and myself spent some time reminiscing old school times. He couldn't stand the sight of my thousand and one pairs of shoes scattered all around my bedroom so he decided to buy me a shoe rack and a stand to hang my clothes with all my unnecessary stuff. The two items he bought required self fixing which was what made Sean extremely excited when the time came for him to fix the parts together.

I wanted to help Sean fix the parts together and I did, I promise! However, the screws were too stubborn and I couldn't place them properly. No, it's not an excuse. Even Sean couldn't put them in their places, I have pictures to prove it...

Placing the screw in it's place...

Screwing it in...(tries really hard)

Tries even harder......Argh, give up!

So it didn't work. We had to leave the joints of the clothing stand unscrewed at the end of the day, but it was firm enough, so thank God! Phew.

This is what it looks like.

Sean's brilliant idea came true, yay!

This is what it looks like now.

Happy V-Day! :)

A few minutes into the annually celebrated world-wide Valentine's Day. I would describe this day to be over-rated, worse now that it has become a commercialized spectacle. Yet it is so necessary to celebrate :) especially for those who have someone special to be with on this so called "special day".

Sean and myself decided to have an early V-dinner because we didn't wanna tag along with the oh so commercialized set meals served on actual Valentine's Day.

I tend to always chop people's heads off when I hold the camera, I blame my short midgety hands.

A better one, after Sean tries to adjust himself to my height so we can both fit into the picture.

Extremely yummy beef ribs. I promise you.

I think Sean is the only monkey who is not vegetarian. Lol. (He's going to kill me for this, but I had to!)

If only we could eat like the man in this photograph.

Two cheeky fellas - Yellow Ranger & Ape

*Caught red-handed* I'm supposed to be on a hunger strike right now. I have no idea why am I blackmailing myself.

*Coughs* Ahem ahem!

I'd like to take this opportunity and a little room on my blog to appreciate my V for this year and acknowledge everything he has done for me. You know who you are, my one and only - Ape Man

I love you for many reasons. You have a great personality, you are extremely friendly to even strangers, you are amazingly intelligent yet so humble about it, you sing with perfect pitch, you are an awesome massage therapist that I would willingly dig out all the money I have just to get your massages...............and most of all, you behave like an ape :P In other words, you are one of the funniest beings on the surface of this earth.

Monkeys can be sweet though. Real sweet.
I received a gift box from Sean before we went for dinner today. It smelt like a box filled with bananas. Haha, just kidding.

Wrapped with Lancome gift paper *wink wink* :)

After opening the wrapper...

Inside the box.

YAY YAY YAY! *Clapping hands and singing* - when you're happy and you know it clap your hands, clap clap :D

So I got my Magnifique which came with some other stuff - foundation, press powder and a few other perfume samples. Thank you soo much babe :) You're not only my pet monkey, you're also my Genie! And a cheeky one too.

This is from me to you :)

Your Angel Now - Alain Clark

You know this one's for you
I want to thank you for the times you pulled me through
There's so much great in the little things you do
And they just keep adding up

You won't know what I mean
But it means a lot to me that you were there
At a time where I felt no one really cared
You were in the rear
And I, I wouldn't be the same person that I am
If you would not have given me your strength

So call and I'll be on my way
You have been my angel
Let me be your angel now :)
Call and I'll be at your door
As long as I'm able
Have in me your angel

It is so like you to set aside your needs
But I guess they say for those who like to give
It's hard to receive
So here's for you my friend
And in time of need
You can count on me

Nothing in return
Now the tables have turned
Unconditional love just say it and you know it
I'll be there to show it

I truly thank God for you, my Bii :)

Two of You.

Dear Pui Mun and Winney,

I don't know what has gotten into my head. You guys must be wondering why too, but...I miss you both really badly right now.

It is true that you will only learn how to appreciate something good after you have lost it. It's not that i've lost the both of you, but things are so different now after secondary school. My life has been so different now that the both of you are rarely seen in the picture. Now that is, I never realize how much you both meant to me.

Our story began like this...

I remember the time where the 3 of us met in secondary 1 during our very first chinese class when we were all sitting separately because we barely knew anyone. Winney and myself got to know each other first. Winney was the very friendly girl who automatically came up to us and tried to be friendly with us. I thought she was a desperate freak back then. Then I got to know Pui Mun a little later through a friend named Nicole. The three of us weren't that close to each other at that time.

In secondary 2, Winney and myself were placed in the same class. We sat side by side throughout the year and got so close that we even got "married". We made a marriage certificate for ourselves. I remember how we used to talk so much in class, and at times when we couldn't talk, we would just write and pass notes to each other. By the end of the year, our stack of chatterbox notes were probably 100 pages or so. We even won the "closest pair" award in class.

I got placed in the same class with Pui Mun in secondary 3. We couldn't sit next to each other in class but that didn't stop us from getting close. I remember once when I was in a very bad mood in school, Pui Mun came over to ask me what's wrong and I simply brushed her off by saying, "Don't get close to me if you wanna die, just leave me alone." yet she still tried to comfort me with Winney after that and that incident never left me even till now. Later on, I "married" Pui Mun and she got "married" to Winney. This intermarriage thing is a little complicated only the 3 of us know what's going on.

I miss those times where we would skip classes to go to each other's classroom just to gossip around and we spent every recess together. We joined the same clubs and we have passion for the similar things. We would never fail to perform and sing together as well, excluding the time where Pui Mun got her braces done. We would also go to either Pui Mun or Valerie's house ALL THE TIME to either talk or blast the music and sing aloud as if we're super stars.

Winney has always been the sentimental one. She enjoys taking her time to write really long letters and decorate really nice presents, cards and photoframes for us.

Pui Mun has always been the caring one. She always lends her friends a shoulder to lean on and an ear (2 ears actually) to contain their sorrows and happiness.

And me? I was the least sentimental and caring one. I never did appreciate you both as much as you guys did and I hate myself for that.

These are a few of the little things that remind me of you both:

Card made by Winney not the Pooh.

Small notes you both wrote for me on Friendship Week 2006 that have never left my purse since then.

You guys even think of me when you all are on vacation.

You guys have showered me with so many things. Seriously, if I could dig and find everything out, I would need to buy a house to keep all of it.

Both of you have always been patient with me and tolerated my straight forward character as much as it has hurt you both. I love you both very much because you both accept me for who I am and have always made yourselves available for me. I may not be you both's best friend, but the truth is that both of you are best friends to me. It has always been that way, and I hope that it will always be that way. After all, till death do us three apart.

This was taken in high school, where me and Win went for a chinese calligraphy competition.

Pui Mun was always camera shy. This is a photo of her wearing my collection of rings back then.

OMG. This was taken in secondary 3 when I still had my lemon head.

I'm So Hungry!

"Please just gimme something to eat for goodness sake. Argh."

My friends keep telling me how chubby I am now.
And I gotta stop telling myself that i'm hungry all the time.
I know i've put on 3kgs in the last 2 weeks, but have I really become so chubby?

From the side...

SAYS WHO I AM CHUBBY!?!

From the front...

DAMN! I AM BEYOND JUST CHUBBY!

Okayyy...*embarrassed* I am going for a run now. Buh bye.

P/S: If any of you have any tips on how to lose weight off the face, please feel free to share them with me. YOU will be much appreciated :)

This Is So Stupid.

So I came back on Sunday evening, having to come into my room and find my window opened, study desk in a mess with one of the drawers opened. ARGHHH!!! STUPID. Someone tried to break in while I wasn't around, AGAIN. Before I left for the holidays, I called up the maintenance office THREE times to tell them to send someone over and get my window fixed.

"Ok, ok, we will come tonight."
At night, no one showed up and I was waiting like a stupid dog. Called again...
"Oh, nobody went over? No worries, we will fix it first thing tomorrow morning."
Next morning, no one showed up, and I waited like a stupid dog again. So I called for the last time...
"Really?? No worries, i'll send somebody over tomorrow morning, I PROMISE"
Next morning,...damn.

I AM SOO EXTREMELY DISGUSTED BY PEOPLE WHO MAKE EMPTY PROMISES.
Don't ever expect me to trust you ever again. I repeat, EVER AGAIN!
Too bad I am tied to a one year contract with your blardee company, I can't move out of this place until next year. However, that would be the first thing i'm gonna do once the dateline arrives, and I will, I WILL definitely tell all the new students to never stay in this place of yours.

Okay, I need to calm down.

GRRR. Can't.

After cleaning up the mess in my room on Sunday evening, I went to the kitchen with the intention of wanting to put my groceries in the fridge. OMG. Once I opened the fridge, a pungent smell bursted out of it and spreaded to each and every corner of the entire house. Heck. The fridge wasn't working. I found the main switch was turned off, so I switched it back on, and the entire house blacked out. I didn't bother trying again, the fridge stinked so badly as if someone died inside it, I kid you not.

We had a house meeting at night to discuss about the coffin fridge. We decided to get rid of everything inside it to get rid of the smell. So we arranged shifts for one another to throw the stuff in the fridge away because we didn't want anybody to be sick. We thought it'd be a good idea that everyone is only exposed to the horrible smell for a limited amount of time.

After getting rid of the food stuff inside that horrible thing, the fridge was bloody all over from the raw meat that used to be kept inside. We then figured out an excellent idea to clean the fridge...

We got all the young and strong guys from house number 4 to come help us move the fridge out of the house so we can spray water from the hose to clean it. The guys not only moved the fridge, they volunteered to wash that horrible thing. That in the photo is JC cleaning the fridge while whining like mad, lol. And all we did was...

Watch and laugh at them. Oh, and had an origami class to learn how to fold paper boxes which we were gonna use to place the charcoals we bought to remove the horrible smell in the kitchen.
It was one hellofanight.

"Flying Off" Again

Earrings, clothing, toilet rolls, toiletries...what else did I miss? Another couple of hours and i'll be heading back to UK - Ulu Kampung.

I've gotten my timetable for the new semester. I can't believe how ridiculously fast classes are starting again. Classes are packed and the new subjects that we will be learning DO NOT seem friendly at all. I truly aspire to be serious with my studies from now onwards, and to play less and exercise more.

Here are the subjects that i'll be learning this new semester:
  1. Heat and Mass Transfer
  2. Engineering Mathematics 2
  3. Process Engineering Project
  4. Energy Technology / Modern Process Chemistry
  5. Separation Process Fundamentals
  6. Engineering Thermodynamics
Apparently, Thermodynamics is the hardest subject among all. Even super duper mooper smarty pants Sean had some (many) problems with it in his first semester. I really hope this subject won't cause me to be kicked out from Uni.

Anyways i'm just really bored now. I just got home from church and my stomach is growling. My mom is not home and there's nothing to eat. I think i'm just gonna finish up the last few episodes of Gossip Girl and probably do some grocery shopping later, maybe wash my oh ever so dirty car even. Football game tonight - Liverpool vs. Chelsea. Not a fan of either one, but i'm gonna go watch the match anyway. Tsk tsk tsk. Peer pressure. I guess I don't really have a choice, I need a social life in Semenyih. Bah.
